Highly Recommended For A Relaxing Break
I can tell you, the staff here were very nice! One evening, our waiter went out of his way to make sure my drink was just right. I swear it made my night. The garden area was a gem, perfectly quiet, a non-smoking patio was a relief, especially after experiences where you can barely breathe with all that smoke around. It felt like a little haven!
It wasn’t cheap, but acceptable for what we got.

Charming country pub with comfy rooms. Mine had a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, and a cozy seating area. It’s a great base for hiking, just 30 mins from Chatsworth House. Staff were super helpful, even kept our bags after checkout. The garden area is lovely for a chill out.

Charming stay with great service
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during a hiking holiday in the Peak District. The country pub ambiance was perfect, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, even keeping our bag safe after we accidentally left it behind. Our room was very comfortable, and we appreciated the convenient location for walking to Chatsworth House. the breakfast could benefit from offering proper coffee instead of instant.
